There are cookies that are better for your body, I don’t believe date heavy treats better than refined sugar choices. With Christmas over and people saying things like ‘time to be healthy again’I don’t believe Christmas or Christmas food is unhealthy. I don’t think treats made with large amounts of dates are a better choice. Diet food is even worse…

Cravings set in quite fast after Christmas different types of cravings, how we spend time thinking about these feelings cravings is much more important to me. Than the food that’s been thought of…in the circle of repeating thoughts low self esteem is somewhere in there, with holding on inside to stop or control feelings from being expressed.

I know now happiness is a choice and it comes from the inside out so in this confusion of food, feelings and cravings. Something like what I have made can be in the middle, while our internal life balances out. Enjoying low refined sugar sweetened food made from oats and not refined flour, I’ve used a some shop brought chocolate from a brand I like. Feeling bad about having cravings is a waste of time, that is why I learnt to make my own treats because its empowering…..

Bone Broth

No one wants to be the food police nor can someone else know how we should be eating. We need to explore what works for us by how we feel, with a simple question like ‘how do I feel how I eat ….’?

Some blood groups need meat and other blood groups need a little. Nither is right or wrong but more it feels right. Then there is requiring balance, I think balance is an active action and not passive.

Now it’s convenient to go into a supermarket to buy food we need after a busy day. Or go to a fast food restaurant to eat on the go. Or buy a low calorie packaged dinner which means very little nutrition to me.

So aren’t growing our food, nor are we connecting with nature to produce our food. There are fruit heavy smoothies being sold as ‘healthy’ rather than fruit being a treat. Good fats were bad and low fat no fat foods were born. Now fats are good and vital for our bodies and hormone system to function. And I agree with fats being vital for healthy body functions.

I remember going to fancy restaurants and knowing the sauce was going to be amazing because of the ‘saucier’. A great French chef said ‘stock is everything in cooking, without it nothing can be done’. Said by Auguste Escoffier.


Known to add ‘depth’ of flavor or ‘body’ or a seductive and mysterious ‘Satisfaction’ that gives a feeling of total fullness.

I don’t know about you but I’ve never met a satisfied person, who permanently lives on a diet.

If I prefer to eat well to cherish my body so live peacefully in my mind. Rather than being affected by negatively because I love the taste of chocolate. I learnt how to make it as healthy as I can, interestingly my obsession with chocolate has disappeared! Odd right …. or empowering….

I knew years ago I would and could never give up chocolate. What I really needed to give up was the stinking thinking after eating it, as I could not live up to my own idealism in my own mind.
How did this go in my mind?

These feelings were distracting me from living in the present moment + I had started reading raw cocao has more than 300 nutritional compounds and is one of the richest sources of antioxidants of any food on the planet!

Delightful Raspberry Mousse

My delightful Raspberry Mousse

It is a beautiful bank holiday day here in London ! The sun is shining and it is glorious outside and I am going walking in the park with someone I love talking too. But I will be buying more raspberries to make more Raspberry mousse today, as I ate most of it last night……

I used my gut instincts with the measurements, by picking a bowl and thinking how much will I want to eat. Remember this recipe is good for you and I have mainly eaten and do eat a high vegetable diet. What this means to me is, at lunch and dinner my plate will be half covered in vegetables some raw and some cooked. Then protein and carbohydrate.

Chia seeds – soaked into a gel I did this with home-made almond milk or you can use water for about 10 to 15 minutes then start stirring, until all liquids are soaked up. Taste the chia seeds to see if they are soft, if not add more liquid and keep stirring. I use 3 tablespoons of chia then ¾ of a cup of almond milk.

Raw English honey – as I live in London – if you live in the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand try to use honey from your country to build your immunity in your tummy 70% lives here.
If you can find a local bee farmer, we have them in London. I find this so amazing !

Organic raspberries
2 x good teaspoons of raw cocoa powder – this makes the mousse dark red and lifts the mousse
Some cinnamon

Mix in your ingredients until smoothie and taste. The mousse should be a dark red colour with the raspberries, tahini and a hint of chocolate coming through. If you place it in the fridge for about an hour it will taste even better.



Nearly 10% of your daily quantity of iron is in a single portion of cashews. Cashews are an amazing source of vitamin k and, surprisingly cashews are often described as fattening. Interestingly,  people who eat nuts twice a week are much less likely to gain weight than those who rarely eat nuts. Cashew nuts are indeed relatively high in fat but they are considered to be ‘good fats’.  Learning the difference in between different  fats and their many benefits to the human body is truly empowering. With these Cashews as an addition to eating a high plant and vegetable based diet, is incredible.

Here is an idea: Cashew nut milk – Cashew sour cream – Cashew nut ‘cheesecake’ – my raw chocolate Cashew praline – Cashew cream ‘cheese’ – ‘Cheese’ Cashew sauce

Fact: Cashews are wonderfully cholesterol free and their high antioxidant content helps lower risk of cardiovascular and coronary heart diseases.

I have made these for a treat tomorrow to enjoy. Raw English honey is a wonderful sweeter with almonds and chocolate. They are so pretty I have loved making these and all done in 15 minutes. So when I walk down the street this is the only chocolate calling my name.
